ROME
Kolbe Hotel - 4 Star**** - The Kolbe Hotel was once a chapel and has now been newly restored in a great contemporary but also historical design. The hotel faces the Forum. The restaurant “Il Giardino degli Aranci” has a magnificent view overlooking a charming panoramic courtyard in a flourishing garden with a citrus grove making it an oasis of peace and quiet in the historical center of Rome. The terrace is a perfect place to have drinks and unwind. Rates for double rooms start from 192 Euro per night, superior doubles from 204 Euro, and deluxe doubles from 288 Euro. Rates include VAT, service, and buffet breakfast.

Crossing Condotti - 4 Star**** - This charming property is a recently restored private residence with only five rooms and is ideally located just off of the famous street "Via Condotti" only 50 meters from the Spanish Steps. All five rooms have antique furnishings and modern comforts including air conditioning and free high-speed internet. In the common area there is a kitchenette at guests' disposal with a Nespresso coffee machine, ice machine, and a refrigerator offering complimentary soft drinks throughout the day. Rates range from 180 - 280 Euro per night including VAT and service.

Villa Spalletti Trivelli- 5 Star***** - This is a masterpiece of architecture like the Frick Museum in New York City or the Rodin Mueum in Paris. The Villa Spalletti has 12 luxurious bedrooms and suites and is located just a few minutes from the Trevi Fountain. It is quiet, exclusive, luxurious and a place where antiquity meets requisite modernity. The interiors are sophisticatedly designed and the property features a spa, gym, and an exquisite secluded garden. Each room or suite has sumptuous accommodations with handmade pure linen sheets bearing the family's coat of arms and large marble bathrooms. This property also has interconnecting rooms for families. A stay at Villa Spalletti shows the guests how aristocrats used to live. Double rooms from 319 Euro per night and suites from 539 Euro per night. Rates include VAT, service, and homemade breakfast.

Palazzo del Duca- 3 Star*** - The Palazzo del Duca also has just five rooms and is on the second floor of a noble dwelling house of the late 1500s. It is located only a few steps from the lively Piazza Navona. The five rooms open up to a large, enchanting drawing room which is enhanced by splendid, tall, wooden-beamed ceilings. Rates for double rooms start from 150 Euro per night including VAT, service, and a delicious rich breakfast.

FLORENCE
Relais Villa Antea - 4 Star**** -This is such a great property just 10 minutes from the city center and away from the crowds. The owner's grandmother owned this house and it has been beautifully restored to a manor house with huge rooms and lovely bathrooms with jacuzzi showers. I loved her garden! It was like your own garden at home - quiet and real! Rates for superior double rooms range from 115 - 160 Euro per night, deluxe double rooms from 120 - 180 Euro per night. Rates include VAT, service, and breakfast.

Orafi Tower Suites - 4 Star**** - These fabulous contemporary apartments have large kitchens and living rooms as well as beautiful bathrooms. Some of the apartments can be interconnected and have dining rooms that can seat up to 14 people. The apartments have a separate lift and entrance and can accommodate up to 7 people. The Orafi Tower Suites are located next to the Degli Orafi Hotel and between the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio on the Archibusieri Arno embankment. Rates for the suites start from 397 Euro per night for two people including VAT and service.

Hotel Orto de Medici - 3 Star*** - This lovely hotel now has incorporated an adjcent building which has been totally restored to its former elegance as a Medici Palace. The 11 large new junior suites have a king or two single beds, sleeping sofa in the sitting area, sizeable closets, beautiful bathrooms and private gardens in the back. The Orto de Medici is around the corner from the San Marco Cathedral. Low season rates for classic doubles start from 90 Euro per night, deluxe doubles from 103 Euro, superior doubles from 119 Euro, triple rooms from 135 Euro, quad rooms from 145 Euro, and the new junior suites from 151 Euro. Rates include VAT, service and buffet breakfast.
Orto de Medici
Residenza Giotto B & B - 3 Star*** - This charming B & B is a big value for your money and I really like the manager here. Residenza Giotto is only two blocks from the Duomo. All of the rooms have lovely views of the Cathedral and Giotto's bell tower from their windows, as Residenza Giotto is situated on the top floor of a 19th century palace in the heart of historic Florence. Rates for double rooms start from 100 Euro per night including VAT, service and breakfast.

Albergo Firenze - 2 Star** - Albergo Firenze is a super clean hotel that is managed by the former manager of the Orto de Medici. It is in a great location behind the Dantes House and the top floor has a great view of the Duomo which is just two blocks away. All of the rooms have a bath or shower in the bathroom. This is a quaint and lovely hotel within easy walking distance from all of the main attractions of Florence. The hotel also has four quad rooms for families. Incredible rates start from 83 Euro per night including VAT, service and continental breakfast.
