Our elegant city centre hotel is housed in a beautifully refurbished 19th century ‘palazzo’ in the atmospheric area of ‘Monti', an ancient Roman quarter only a few minutes walk from the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and Rome Termini Railway Station. This location makes the hotel ideal for both tourist and business accommodation, with public transportation and Rome’s most famous landmarks right on our doorstep.There are very few locations to rival ‘Monti’. This ancient
quarter is now one of Rome’s most fashionable residential, shopping and eating out
districts. Frequent visitors to Rome will enjoy the similarity to Trastevere; a maze of
atmospheric vennels, lined with ‘palazzi’, artisan shops, superb
‘ristorante’ and even a few traditional pubs. However, while Trastevere is
poorly served by public transport, Monti is within 10 minutes walk from Termini station.
The abundance of antiquities within comfortable walking distance of the Hotel Raffaello is
phenomenal. Vespasian’s magnificent Colosseum is five minutes walk,
the Imperial Roman Forum, home of the Roman senate is approximately 500 metres from the
hotel. Continue towards Piazza Venezia on streets once walked by Julius Cesar and then on
to the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Campo di Fiori and Piazza Navona. The Spanish
Steps are close to hand, and the Vatican lies immediately on the other side of
the Tiber.
