The renowned town of Monteriggioni is one of the most beautiful medieval town in Europe. A strong fortress in the past and a historic wonder of the present, song by Dante's Inferno, today Monteriggioni, with its 0.3 miles/500 metres of walls and its 14 towers, is one of the most charming places in Tuscany.  In Monteriggioni, several films have been played such as The English patient, Life is beautiful, Tea with Mussolini, Gladiator and many others.

Casalta, a family-run property, is found in the heart of Strove, a small village of Longobard origins which, over time, became a thoroughfare for the pilgrims of the Frankish Road. Guests immediately feel at home in this attractive and totally relaxing atmosphere. The hotel offers 10 double rooms furnished with antique furniture reflecting the simplicity and sobriety of the life style of days gone by. Each room has an ensuite bathroom, mini-bar, hair dryer, TV, fan, & direct phone line.
