Palazzo Piccolomini recently completed renovation
on four fully air-conditioned penthouse apartments on the top floor of a Renaissance
palazzo in the heart of Siena’s old city, approximately two hundred yards from the
central square (Piazza del Campo), the setting for the Palio race in July and August.
All apartments are quiet, full of charm and are renovated
to state of the art standards. Rooms are spacious and airy, furniture is a comfortable and
elegant combination of modern and antique. All apartments are kept in mint condition, the
furnishing include linen and crockery. The four story Palazzo has an elevator.
Siena’s University for Foreigners offers a rich
program in language and culture courses, and the Accademia Chigiana has music courses as
well as a summer music festival. Siena’s traffic free historic center, winding roads,
medieval homes, towers, and great artistic monuments offer an ideal setting for a Tuscan
visit. Just miles away from the wine producing regions of Chianti and Montalcino, and from
the historic towns of San Gimigniano, Pienza, Montepulciano, Monteriggioni, and San Quirico d’Orcia, Siena
is ideal for artistic and gourmet tourism in all seasons. Siena is just fifty minutes by
bus or car from Florence.

Civetta - With elevator. One bedroom, one bathroom penthouse apartment, with independent heating and air-conditioning, dishwasher, washing machine, TV and phone. In the center of the city and yet with dramatic views of the city walls and the wine producing Chianti region. Living-dining room with table for 6, and sofa bed. Cooking area. One bedroom with twin beds which can be joined to form queen size bed. One bathroom with shower. Approximately 670 square feet. Sleeps 2/3.
Drago - Sleeps 4/6; 1150 Feet 2/109m2 - 2 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms Centrally located on second floor of the historic building close to Piazza del Campo where the famous horse race is held, the Palio. Large windows in all rooms overlooking the Palazzo's garden and outstanding views of the rolling hills of the Chianti region. Elevator landing on third floor and 13 steps down to apartment entrance. Master bedroom with king size bed, en-suite marble bathroom with tub/shower. Second bedroom with twins which can be joined to make a queen, en-suite marble shower bathroom. Living-dining room with table for eight, sofa bed for two. Separate eat-in kitchen. Independent heating and air-conditioning. FACILITIES: Dishwasher, washer, microwave oven, toaster, american coffee maker, Satellite TV, CD player, stereo/radio, american/italian system DVD player, hair dryer, iron + ironing board.
