Villa Belvedere is an ancient 16th century mansion, perfectly preserved and now transformed in a splendid resort. Set in a panoramic position in the heart of the Classic Chianti area, Villa Belvedere is surrounded by old farmhouses recently refurbished and tastefully furnished with antiques. The estate with the Villa and the farmhouses look like a secluded hamlet easily approachable by a lined up monumental cypress drive It is set in the typical Tuscan surroundings of vineyards, olive groves and woods. Not too far from Villa Belvedere Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Monteriggioni, Greve in Chianti and the very old Badia a Passignano can be visited.

The Winchler family, in Tuscany from 18th century attending the court of grand duke Pietro Leopoldo of Lorene, has owned for generations this estate located in the village of Mercatale Val di Pesa on the Chianti road from Florence to Siena. Within this estate there were rustic buildings for the sharecroppers and a villa of the 16th century where the owners used to spend their holidays. Along the “Chiantigiana” road across the sweet slopes, one enters the Chianti valleys through Greve, Castellina, Radda and other villages famous for wine and oil, enjoying beautiful scenarios.

Villa Belvedere offers a unique accommodation either in its magnificent rooms in the Villa or in its apartments. At our guest disposal there are:  a breakfast room, billiard room, swimming pool with solarium and the panoramic terrace.

All the rooms have private bathrooms and are furnished with antiques and heirlooms. The rooms available are:

There are also apartments in the farmhouses, which are completely restored and available in different sizes.All the apartments are spacious and bright with independent entrance and a fully well-equipped kitchen. Some of them have also a fireplace, an open space with a barbecue grill or solarium. They consist of: 1, 2 , & 3 bedrooms with from 1 to 3 bathrooms.

Fattoria Belvedere produces Chianti Classico D.O.C.G. wine, Reserve wines, dessert wine, Extra Virgin Oil, Grappa and other typical products of Villa Belvedere all very prestigious.
