There is a residence full of history and Umbrian traditions, named “L'Orto degli
Angeli”, giving off an incomparable fascination.It is located in the historical
center of Bevagna, typical Umbrian village marked in 2004 like first of Italy for the
tranquillity and the pleasantness of living.

the warmth of a beautiful village but you also live your journey among the signs of twenty
centuries of history, that L'Orto degli Angeli itself mirably shows. One excellence of
Umbria's offers, the cuisine, boasts a unique atmosphere in the restaurant Redibis, placed
in the precious ambulacres, miraculously intact, of an ancient Roman Theatre of the I
Century after Christ.
Bevagna also offers an extraordinary position in the centre of the region. All the pearls
of Umbria, from the most celebrated to the most hidden, are literally to hand capacity;
moreover the comfort than to catch up the beautiful neighboring zones of Lazio, Tuscany
and Marches, with round-trip in the turn of a few hours.
A journey at L'Orto degli Angeli will leave a sigh in your eyes, in your mouth and in your
heart. L'Orto degli Angeli is not simply a hotel, it is a very ancient family home having
a warm homey atmosphere. The owners enjoy sharing their mansion with their guests and
invite them to experience the way of life of a great Umbrian family surrounded by the
beauty of an enchanting place.
The garden has always been the heart of the Residence and its charming atmosphere appeals to the different senses. It is a treat for your sight and smell with its old-age wistaria, the sweet-smelling jasmin, the beautiful clematis and the old-fashioned rose beds tended by the family and their experienced and famous friend Helga Brichet. It also has much to offer to your taste: in fact the lavender flowers are used for one of our delicious desserts. But the peace and quiet coming from this "green box" has older and deeper roots than those of the beautiful vegetation: in fact the garden lies on what was once the main ambulatory of the Roman theatre (I century A.D.), next to the ?sacred? area of the old town, where the remains of two Roman Temples are still visible inside the property.The sacredness of the place derives both from its pagan origins and the revitalizing Christian epiphanies of the Middle Ages.
The fourteen rooms and apartments of the Residence are all different and preserve most of their original fittings: antique furniture, paintings, kitchen utensils and little things which have always been there and tell the history of the family giving a special charm to these comfortable spaces. In the elegant 18th-century Palazzo Andreozzi there are nine stylishly decorated rooms, named after the Angels portrayed in the exquisite frescoes to recall the family name. The beautifully restored Palazzo Alberti features five unique apartments where Roman remains stick out from later architectural structures. The "case" (apartments) are typical examples of medieval architecture and their names, in early Italian, reflect their individual character. When choosing your room do not hesitate to ask the hostess and her collaborators for help: they will be happy to find the accommodation that is most suitable for you. We do have hair dryers and a computer free to guests for complimentary internet access.
Our hospitality is completed by our restaurant “Redibis”, situated into the extraordinary location of spaces gained from the restored remains of the ancient roman theatre. Inside a contest of a unique and majestic atmosphere, the guest will meet an interesting proposal of cuisine, combining the latest trends with the traditional flavors of the local cuisine.
