The elegant and charming apartments,
called Manin and Faliero, are part of the same 15th century palazzetto that rises between
Campo San Polo and Campo San Giacomo dall'Orio, in the historic centre of Venice. The
palazzetto, once surrounded by canals, gained its present aspect as the result of
extensive reconstruction during the Napoleonic era. A complete restoration by the
present owners, between 1992 and 1996, preserved all the elegance typical of Venetian
palaces, but also installed up-to-date technology, resulting in a marvelous standard of
living. The residential complex also includes a pleasant garden equipped with a table and
chairs for outdoor dining, as well as a tennis court and club house which can be booked by
guests. Situated just a few minutes from the Rialto Bridge and its famous shops and
open-air food market, these apartments are an ideal departure point for pleasant walks
among the fascinating little streets, bridges and squares of Venice, for excursions out
into the lagoon, and for trips to the Veneto region on the mainland. Although being very
conveniently located to all of Venice, the complex is away from any major flow of
tourists, immersed as it is in the peace and tranquillity of its garden and quiet
residential neighborhood. And, just a few steps away are small, local shops for your fresh
breakfast rolls, fruit, and groceries. The apartments offer to even the most demanding of
clients a level of comfort, convenience and relaxation rarely found elsewhere in Venice.
The décor, from the marmorino walls to the terrazzo floors, will help make your time in
this refined yet welcoming ambience so pleasant that you will want to stay longer.
This elegant apartment, 100 square meters (about 1,100 square feet) in size, occupies the
whole second floor (third floor, American) of the palazzo and is reached by a lovely
staircase of Istrian stone. Furnished with taste and refinement, enriched by various
articles of antique furniture, Faliero provides a spacious living room with video
door-phone, telephone, and satellite TV, and a well-equipped kitchen (refrigerator,
freezer, electric oven, dishwasher, and such extra conveniences as an electric kettle and
American-type drip coffee-maker), as well as central heating and air conditioning (in
season) and a central radio system with speakers in each room. From the dining room there
is an enviable view of adjacent Campo San Boldo. The sleeping quarters comprise two
twin-bedded bedrooms, the larger one having a view of the canal, while the smaller one has
a more cozy charm. Two bathrooms, one with a tub/shower combo and the other with a shower,
complete the apartment. Also included is a laundry room with washing machine and ironing
board. The lovely décor features an exposed-beam ceiling with decorated tiles, flooring
of Venetian terrazzo and parquet, and walls of marmorino in warm tones. Faliero is
extremely functional, perfect for a romantic vacation for a couple, or for a small family.

availability. The price includes linen and towels changed weekly, electricity,
water, air conditioning, heating, and final cleaning. Wi-Fi/Internet connection,
and DVD. Telephone and use of the tennis court
(15€/hour) are not included. For a much longer term stay I will check if some cleaning on the Saturday is
included. Extra maid service 13€/hour, extra
towels, 8€/hour.
