The Hotel Metropole rises from the heart of the city on the lagoon, and appears overlooking the magical 'Bacino di San Marco' (the lagoon area in front of St. Mark's Square). Only a few metres away from St. Mark's Square, it's easy to arrive at the hotel from the various arrival points into Venice. As the Hotel Metropole has its own private canal mooring entrance, it is an ideal and practical way to arrive using the water taxi system.

From the airport: approximately 60 minutes ferry boat crossing.
This service is run by the Alilaguna company.
Arrival into Venice is at the Arsenale boat stop (approximately 320 metres from the Hotel).

PRIVATE TRANSPORT- WATER TAXI
This is the best way to arrive into Venice, but also the most expensive.
From the Airport approximately 30 minutes boat crossing.
This service is supplied by the Consorzio Motoscafi di Venezia. The water taxi arrives right up to the private canal entrance of the Hotel.
Cost per journey: approximately 135 € (payment should be made in cash, also via the Hotel concierge)

FROM THE RAILWAY STATION:

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The public service is run by the ACTV company using waterbuses known as 'vaporetti' with numbered routes:
- No. 51 From Santa Lucia station: approximately 20 minute journey.
The name of the stop of destination is San Zaccaria which is situated approximately 283 metres from the Hotel.

- N. 82 To and From Santa Lucia station: approximately 40 minute journey taking the route along the Giudecca Canal (not the Grand Canal).
Destination stop is San Zaccaria - Jolanda (approxiamtely 220 metres from the Hotel).
