hotels in Venice

**CLOSED FOR RESTORATION NOVEMBER 20 '06-FEBRUARY 8 '07**

The Hotel Wildner is one of the few hotels in Venice from where you can enjoy the wonderful view of St. Mark's Basin that was appreciated by men of the caliber of Henry James who stayed here in 1881 whilst working on the draft of his "Portrait of a Lady". Its rooms are spread over four floors and are both intimate and bright, thus offering the friendly atmosphere that was typical of inns at the start of the last century.
From the Hotel's veranda, you can enjoy a splendid view over the lagoon. Residents can breakfast here and can choose from a rich buffet of Italian specialties with a touch of Venice.

The Hotel staff are always available for whatever you need and to listen to your suggestions: they can confirm a flight for you, recommend a typical restaurant etc.
Residents of the Wildner who opt for the sheltered parking will be given a discount.
The Hotel Wildner stands out because of its typical restaurant where hotel residents can choose dishes which appear on the varied seasonal menu at a 15% discount.

Part of the Venezia Hotels group, the Wildner furnished its rooms simply and elegantly, whilst maintaining their functionality. They have parquet flooring throughout and all come with private bathrooms. Some rooms offer a superb view over the Venetian lagoon, the island of San Giorgio, the Chiesa della Salute, whilst others offer views over the Church of San Zaccaria, the roofs and bell-towers of the city.  Our guests enjoy exceptional comfort, as well as facilities such as telephones, satellite television, air-conditioning and strongboxes and hair dryer.

Bordering St Mark's Basin, the Hotel Wildner enjoys a peerless location along the Riva degli Schiavoni , one of the most famous walkways in Venice. From here, you can admire the island of San Giorgio and the fine palladian form of its church, whilst being close to the majestic architecture of St. Mark's Square, the true heart of the city. Rubbing shoulders with the hotel is the church of San Zaccaria , a perfect marriage of Gothic and Renaissance styles. The Wilder is one of the few hotels in Venice which are a short walk from the Gardens, Le Corderie and the Teatro delle Tese, which will be important centers for the Venetian Biennial.
