Traveling by Train

Edinburgh has 2 stations, Waverley and Haymarket. Waverley is the main station, situated just off Princes Street - 1 mile away and is approximately 5 minutes by taxi to the hotel. Haymarket station is to the west of the city centre approximately 1.5 miles from the hotel and will take about 10 minutes in a taxi.

Edinburgh has direct trains to London (journey time 4hr 30mins), which depart and arrive every half an hour. Edinburgh is also easily accessible by train from Newcastle, York, Leeds and Manchester. Trains arrive/depart from Glasgow every 15 minutes.

Traveling by Bus

Edinburgh's main bus station is situated on St. Andrews Square, ten minutes walk from the Howard and has regular services to cities across Scotland and the UK. National bus travel can be booked through CityLink or National Express.

Local Lothian Buses Nos. 23 & 27 have stops on Dundas Street, 20m from the hotel entrance, we can arrange for a member of our butler team to meet you at the bus stop.
