Channings is located:
During your stay you will be accommodated in one of our 46 individually decorated bedrooms, which include three suites and a four-poster bedroom. You may wish to chose a room offering a slipper roll top bath or a jacuzzi (big enough for two)! For that romantic stay, choose to ‘spoil yourself’ in a luxurious four-poster bed and bathe in an oval bath designed for two! With antique furniture and prints as your surroundings, tranquillity and contentment ensure a visit to remember. Rooms are striking yet elegant, tailored and classic, with a combination of textured fabrics such as linen, silk, suede and velvet and deep, rich colours – providing comfortable and relaxing surroundings for you during your stay.Many of the rooms offer breath-taking views of Edinburgh, while others over-look the private gardens (which are yours to enjoy in the warmer months as well as a sun terrace which captures the sun all day!)
You can check in to your room from 2pm on the day of arrival, and have the convenience of checking out at 12noon on the day of departure, should you have a late start.

Channings Restaurant in Edinburgh is a delightful, neighbourhood bistro with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and a well-edited all day menu. Our chef Karen MacKay uses fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients wherever possible, and has come up with some great taste combinations.
Alongside our hotel guests, we entertain local Edinburgh residents at the restaurant all the time, particularly if there is a special occasion to celebrate.
As an alternative to the restaurant, Channings has a very popular wine bar serving drinks, cocktails and its own snack menu.
The all day menu is also available if you choose to eat alfresco on our garden sundeck.
