The hotel was operated by Scotsman Robert Fleming in 1851 in this fine townhouse-originally built in 1730.  He sought to reflect the ethos that drove the Great Exhibition in the Crystal Palace at Hyde Park, just across Mayfair, which at the time was demonstrating to an admiring world the ideas and craftsmanship of the Victorian age.

**Car Parking - They do not have their own car park, it is a local NCP car park, within a five minute walk from the hotel and the guest will need to park their own car (no valet). The car park is approximately 40 GBP per 24 hours and if traveling Mon-Fri they are within the congestion zone which needs to have an additional 8 GBP per day.
